This word is befitting for me today considering how crappy i’ve been.Emotions have been haywire crazy since i opened my eyes till now (8:15 pm).
Emotion is described to be any relatively brief conscious experience characterized by intense mental activity and a high degree of pleasure or displeasure.Accordly to some theories they are states of feeling that result in physical and physiological changes which influences our behaviour.
It controls every fibre of our been.How we survive everything and when not properly controlled can actually cause us to harm someone we love or even ourselves.
I highly doubt that any of us can truly control it but we at least try to in our day to day lives.For a pregnant woman, not so easy since we literally wear our emotions on our sleeves.We just can’t help it.
The picture above is from a animated movie “inside out” and in that movie it followed a little girl and her emotions.They were depicted kinda like little people living inside her head.Anger, fear, joy,disgust and sadness.The main emotions which controls us and to be honest it kinda feels like that is how inside our heads are.A bunch of emotions at this giant keyboard pressing buttons.
Don’t worry i’m not losing my sanity just yet.
A lot of us are full of negative emotions which needs to be “tamed” or controlled in some form of way.
Everyday i learn new ways of keeping these feelings “under wraps”, each of us just needs to know what works and what doesn’t.
- Long walk on the beach
- Reading a book
- Listening to music
- Talking to a non judgemental trustworthy friend/therapist
- Creating something
- Glass of wine
- Eating icecream
The list goes on and those are just a few of the things which i find to help me.Just conquer your emotional demons, be the boss of them not let them boss you…
